Prolog Converge for Construction Project Delivery Applications

Pre-Recorded Webinar Previews How Construction Project Teams Can Gain Efficient Collaboration and Flexible Choice in Accessing Project Data by Using Prolog Converge

Meridian Systems, the Plan-Build-Operate technology solutions leader for project-based organizations, announced today Prolog® Converge, a Web-based project management application powered by Prolog, an industry standard for successful construction project delivery. Prolog Converge will be available in November 2009.

Prolog Converge combines a rich Web-based user interface on a powerful Web services platform. The new Prolog application allows project teams to collaborate more efficiently, and provides users with flexibility to choose how they access and manage critical project data.

Meridian is offering a pre-recorded Webinar to Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry members who would like more information on Prolog Converge:

Today’s construction project teams face many collaboration challenges including how to bring project team members together across geographical locations, in online and offline environments, and across different technology systems and devices. Prolog Converge leverages the Prolog Web services platform to integrate technology systems together, improving user access to project information.

“As our project teams expand, it is a challenge to implement best-of-breed project management systems that support various user roles in various locations,” said Brooks Williams, director of project controls, Alberici Corporation. “We believe that Prolog Converge will allow us to collaborate more effectively by meeting the needs of our individual users with customized, role-based tools.”

Prolog Converge provides project management capabilities in the areas of Collaboration, Reporting, Document Management, as well as Mobile solutions and BIM integration. Prolog Converge benefits include:

  • Keeping project teams on the same page by allowing team members and applications to work together in a real-time online environment.
  • Increasing user adoption through role-based user interfaces.
  • Making decisions quickly using up-to-date project data from field workers using mobile solutions.
  • Reducing project schedules with real-time collaboration among extended project teams, including owners, general contractors, designer and subcontractors.
  • Increasing efficiencies by enabling interoperability between construction project management and other critical business applications.
  • Lowering risk by integrating BIM data with your project management system.

Prolog Converge can help increase efficiencies by enabling interoperability between construction project management and other critical business applications. Additionally, Prolog Converge can increase user adoption through the use of familiar, role-based user interfaces such as custom Microsoft Office Business Applications (OBAs). OBAs allow bi-directional data exchange between Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint and Prolog. OBAs can be tailored to various project team roles or to automate specific work tasks.

“Meridian’s investments in a Web services technology platform have resulted in our ability to offer a wide range of Office Business Applications to the industry,” said Bruno Berti, senior director of product management with Meridian. “With Prolog Converge, project-based organizations can now use the industry leading construction project management solution through multiple interface options, enabling these organizations to support their unique work cultures, project management processes, and a multitude of users.”
