AECOM Wins US$20 Million Contract for City of Edmonton’s LRT Extension Project in Canada

AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it was awarded a US$20-million contract in Canada to provide program management services for the City of Edmonton’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) extension from downtown Edmonton to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

The project’s total construction value is approximately US$708 million.

The company will provide program management and design services for Phase 1 of the 2-mile extension that will branch off the existing underground LRT with approximately 2,300 feet of tunnel section with the remaining 1.5 miles on the surface. Three new LRT stations will be built at major health care and educational institution destination points.
