The Second Swedish National Pension Fund (AP2) is investing USD 325 million in the American real estate company, US Office Holdings. The company is jointly owned with the South Korean National Pension Fund, NPS, and an affiliate of the American real estate company, Tishman Speyer.

U.S. Bank and St. Anton Close $52M Financing for Mixed-Income Multifamily Community in San Jose

U.S. Bank and St. Anton Partners have closed on a $52 million loan to finance construction of a new mixed-income multifamily community at the corner of Raleigh Road and Charlotte Drive in San Jose, Calif. It is one of the first apartment developments in the South San Jose area since 2004.

Today, Purple Heart Homes and The Home Depot Foundation have announced a joint partnership that will provide housing solutions to older Serviced Connected Disabled Veterans that have served our country. The grant from The Home Depot Foundation will enable Purple Heart Homes to help make needed modifications to eight homes including installing ramps where steps have become obstacles, and making doorways wider and bathrooms more accessible.

UCLA Architecture and Urban Design Launches New Platform for Cross-Disciplinary Research

UCLA Architecture and Urban Design (A.UD) today announced the launch of IDEAS, a new platform for cross-disciplinary research collaborations among students, faculty, industry and other partners that will radically question, challenge and expand the current parameters of architecture practice. As part of this initiative, the department has added a new Los Angeles satellite location and significantly expanded its master's of architecture program, which will now feature studio courses taught by several of the biggest luminaries in the field — Thom Mayne, Greg Lynn and Frank Gehry, with Gehry Partners and Gehry Technologies.
