Cyanco, a supplier of sodium cyanide to the mining industry in Canada and the United States, has signed an accord with Ascend Performance Materials, a company that provides patented technologies for use in the manufacture of synthetic fiber, plastics and nylon, to build a plant at Alvin, a Texas site owned by Ascend. The new plant will manufacture 55,000 metric tons of sodium cyanide every year.
