HMV Breaks Ground on Stand-Alone Utility Scale Solar Energy Project in Jefferson City

Half Moon Ventures (HMV) today announces the groundbreaking on Wisconsin's first stand-alone utility scale solar energy project in the city of Jefferson, Wis. HMV awarded S&C Electric Company, a global leader in renewable energy integration, with the EPC contract to construct the project, which is expected to enter into service by the end of the year.

NET Mexico Awards Willbros Contract to Construct Natural Gas Pipeline

Willbros Group, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a contract by NET Mexico Pipeline Partners, LLC to construct the NET Mexico Pipeline. The scope of work includes construction of approximately 120 miles of 42-inch diameter natural gas pipeline from a location near Agua Dulce, Nueces County, Texas, to a delivery point near the City of Rio Grande, Starr County, Texas.

Annual Wind Power Installations in Latin America to Double over the Next 10 Years to 4.3 GW

Although wind plant construction across Latin America is modest compared to more established markets, such as South and East Asia, North America, and Europe, the region’s wind power industry is taking off at a rapid pace. Latin America has become the hottest growth market for the wind energy industry at a time when growth rates in other markets are flat due to a variety of policy and macroeconomic challenges.

EDF Renewable Energy Enters Agreement with RES Americas to Acquire 200 MW Longhorn Wind Project

EDF Renewable Energy today announced it has reached an agreement with Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas) to acquire the 200 megawatt (MW) Longhorn Wind Project in Texas. Construction is expected to commence later this year in order to qualify the project for the Production Tax Credit (PTC).

Academics from the University formed part of a consortium of partners to deliver the BIG Energy Upgrade - Yorkshire and the Humber’s first ‘whole house, whole community’ renovation programme. For the past three years the scheme has helped support some of the region’s most deprived and fuel poor communities with a wide range of energy saving services.

Construction Commences on First Phase of Brookfield Place Calgary Office Development Project

Brookfield Office Properties Inc. today broke ground on the first phase of the Brookfield Place Calgary office development project. The 1.4-million-square-foot first phase, or east tower, at 56 storeys or 247 metres in height, will be the tallest structure in western Canada upon its completion. Cenovus Energy is anchoring the east tower with a 1-million-square-foot commitment.

Tenants at Pineland Apartments, located at 235 - 10th Street East in Prince Albert will enjoy improved housing quality as a result of renovations being made to 23 one-bedroom suites. The renovations are being made possible by a joint investment from the Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan.
