RCC Associates, a South Florida-based general contractor which has built more than 1,500 projects in 25 states over the course of its 39-year history, has announced its 69th construction project at the popular Aventura Mall, located in northern Miami-Dade County, Florida.
RCC recently added J. Lindeberg, Mrs. Fields, Sur La Table, Inglot, Pianegonda and Beard Papa to its list of projects for the Aventura Mall. The company's first project for the regional mall was to provide build-out construction for Maison Blanche in 1983.
South Florida's #1 shopping destination among international visitors, Aventura Mall was voted Best Local Shopping Destination by Miami Herald's "Hot List" and ranks as one of the top five highest grossing malls in the country in sales per square foot. The 2.7 million square-foot multi-level mall is home to Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Macy's Men's Home Furniture, JCPenney and Sears, more than 300 stores and restaurants, a 24-screen movie theater, and an artist-designed interactive playground, Rainbow Valley.
"Repeat construction projects at high-profile shopping destinations are a significant part of our core business," said RCC President Beverly Raphael, whose firm has provided build-out construction services for many of the nation's high-end retailers, private clubs and restaurants.
Raphael cited several other South Florida regional malls where RCC has provided repeat construction services over the years, including the Town Center in Boca Raton, The Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Worth Avenue on Palm Beach and the internationally regarded Bal Harbour Shops in Bal Harbour where a recent project for Hublot will notch more than 50 projects for RCC.
A nationally sough-after contractor, RCC last year was one of eight companies honored by Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE: EAT) with its annual Hospitality Award for Partnership Excellence. RCC was selected from more than 1,000 supplier partners, who provided services to Brinker International and its three restaurant brands.
