Lunera Lighting Announces Collaboration with Armstrong Ceiling and Wall Systems

Lunera® Lighting, Inc., a Silicon Valley company that designs, manufactures, and markets next-generation LED lighting, announced today that it has partnered with Armstrong® Ceiling and Wall Systems to provide the 5400 Series, an edge-lit LED lighting fixture compatible with Armstrong's TechZone Ceiling Systems.

The sleek, energy efficient, linear fixtures create a clean, elegant ceiling visual and provide voluminous light when installed in the six-inch-wide technical zone.

"The combination of Armstrong's TechZone™ Ceiling Systems and Lunera's 5400 Series LED luminaire creates a comprehensive, environmentally responsible solution for builders and lighting designers to cost effectively upgrade and organize ceiling applications. Purchasers can also realize even greater installation and maintenance savings on their energy efficient lighting investment," commented Karen Owyeung, CEO of Lunera Lighting.

Lunera's 5400 Series of digital LED fixtures combined with the Armstrong TechZone Ceiling System creates a clean, linear visual appearance that greatly enhances the aesthetics of a room. By using Lunera's truLITE™ Color Consistency Process, the light fixtures maintain the uniformity of quality light across an entire installation creating a more productive, healthier environment for its occupants. The Lunera 5400 Series fixture is offered as a 9/16" tegular as well as the 9/16" and 15/16" lay-in.

"The new Armstrong ceiling system organizes the 'clutter' in a grid ceiling. The result is a cost-effective, clean, linear aesthetic using standardized components such as Lunera's 5400 Series of solid-state fixtures. Maintenance challenges and panel damage are also reduced since all technical services are housed in the 'zone,'" said Gregg Maberry, General Manager of Sales and Marketing Integration for Armstrong Building Products.

Similar to other Lunera products, the 5400 Series dramatically reduces energy consumption while lasting much longer than their fluorescent counterparts and virtually eliminates maintenance costs due to its long life. The fully recyclable fixtures contain no harmful chemicals and generate less heat than comparable incumbent lighting technologies. The substantial energy savings combined with the elimination of maintenance enables the 5400 Series to lower a building's carbon footprint, while visually demonstrating a company's commitment to sustainability.
