Foster Wheeler to Provide FEED Services to Huntsman for its Production Facility in China
Foster Wheeler, an engineering and construction contracting and power equipment supplying company, declared that its Global Engineering and Construction Group has contracted an accord with Huntsman (Europe) to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) for the development of Huntsman’s Isocyanates production facility located at Caojing, Shanghai, China.
Isocyanates are utilized in the manufacture of polyurethanes for use in an extensive range of applications in the plastic industry.
As per the contracted terms, Foster Wheeler will provide technology licensor administration, front-end engineering, project progress report and project cost estimate. The company is anticipated to complete the FEED stage of the project by this year’s third quarter. Overall, the installations and mechanical completion of the total project is expected to take place by the fourth quarter of the year 2013.
The agreement value of the contract is not revealed and it will be added in the first quarter bookings of the company for the year 2011.
