Building owners and architects have gained the capacity to make a perfect glass exterior using AeroGlass ThermaDivide. The U-value of this glass exterior is U 0.06, which is equal to the U-value of a well-protected solid wall, and will allow the complete spectrum of natural daylight in the room.

AeroGlass ThermaDivide is a 3” wide aluminum framing system built using tempered glass. Lumira aerogel, which is an insulating solid material, has filled the insulated glass units’ (IGU) interior part. The IGU is a structural silicone having four sides with an aluminum framework, which makes a flawless glass from floor to ceiling.

Extreme heat will not be increased in the IGUs of AeroGlass ThermaDivide unlike traditional glass units, which means that the interior can be painted with a dissimilar color from the exterior devoid of the thermal breakage risk. Lumira aerogel has also provided acoustic insulation exceptionally, which serves to decrease unnecessary and disturbing noises.

AeroGlass ThermaDivide is a 100% eco-friendly material and Lumira aerogel can be used again, which protects the ecological systems and humans. Manufacturing of this aerogel will not affect the surroundings. Consequently, McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry has honored Lumira aerogel with the Silver Cradle to Cradle certification, which will check the product's ecological impact, manufacturing features, creation of sustainable and healthy society and intention of waste removal.

Besides the AeroGlass ThermaDivide’s launch, the company will host the launching of Lumira aerogel in the Greenbuild conference at the Soho Metropolitan Hotel on October 6.
