Security Metal Products Introduces Acoustical Door System

Security Metal Products (SMP), a manufacturer of specialty products such as bullet resistant, stainless steel, pressure-blast resistant, acoustical and sanitary-watertight frames and doors, has introduced a latest STC 55 acoustical door system.

A newly patented technology for sound absorption has been employed in this latest acoustical door system in order to attain an operable rating of STC 55.

The company’s STC 55 door system is an ideal preference for every room, which requires the minimum transmission of sound. Other sources of noise will not influence the quality of sound inside and outside the room, if this new acoustical door system is used. This innovative system is lightweight and can be installed easily.

The door system comprises door, sound seal, frame, continuous threshold and hinge. All the acoustical door systems from the company have been examined at the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) laboratory that uses the new standards of ASTM.

These SMP acoustical door systems provide a noise solution to minimize the noise at any facility, which includes hospitality, municipal and military-government buildings, healthcare, learning organizations and airports.
