Sundance Square has officially unveiled three new buildings at the office, entertainment and retail district located in Downtown Fort Worth. The three new buildings called The Commerce Building, The Westbrook and The Cassidy will be opened during 2013.
The official groundbreaking ceremony was carried out today. The main focus behind the three new buildings, particularly The Westbrook and The Commerce Building are to create prime retail space at street level while maintaining the traditions of Fort Worth.
The Commerce Building will cover an area of 83,000 sq.ft of which 17,000 sq.ft will be taken up for restaurant and retail purposes. The office lobby will be located at the ground floor in Commerce Street. The Westbrook will cover an area of 93,000 sq.ft and has been named after the historical Westbrook Hotel. 12,393 sq.ft will be used for retail space and the office lobby will be located at the ground floor in Houston Street. The Cassidy will cover an area of 99,000 sq.ft with six floors of which 12,196 sq.ft will be used for retail and 12,187 sq.ft will be used for residential purposes. This site will be L-shaped and will provide a frontal view of W. 3rd and Houston Streets. Each portion of the building will feature three architectural facades and the top floor of the building will be used for residential living in the form of six penthouse apartments. The penthouse apartments will be one or two bedroom units containing outdoor terraces with glass walls from the floor to the ceiling and excellent views of the Sundance Square.
