IFF SIP Panel System Reduces Energy Consumption and Improves Indoor Air Quality

Home-builders and architects in the U.S. can now make use of a new insulation and framing system that is provided with benefits of high-efficiency Structural Insulated Panels, standard wood-stud and fiberglass batt insulated construction.

Builders and framers can use the INSUL-WALL rigid EPS (expanded polystyrene) insulation panels to construct pre-insulated wall sections that are perfectly squared. INSUL-WALL incorporates commonly used stick-framing practices and helps in saving material cost. The INSUL-WALL system has significant insulating characteristics that help in providing “green” advantages up to two times that of fiberglass.

The IFF SIP panel system simultaneously performs stick-framing and insulating processes, saves time and materials and eliminates the requirement for exterior sheathing.

INSUL-WALL panels are provided with the following features:

  • The panels prevent the usage of special design methods and tools and the need for re-training.
  • The slots precisely cut in the EPS insulation panels are used as framing jigs in which wood framing members are placed.
  • Plumbing and electrical installations and inspections are easily performed in the interior side of the INSUL-WALL panels.
  • The panels have engineered efficiencies that enable reducing labor cost and wastage, improving true/plumb framing to enhance the interiors and reducing the building time.
  • The panels create state-of-the-art insulated walls that are used by framers, home-builders and architects.
  • The panels reduce the consumption of energy for home cooling and heating with the help of its 2” built-in thermal break that eliminates thermal bridging.
  • The panels are lightweight and durable and offer wall strength and energy-efficiency.

The INSUL-WALL’s EPS insulation maintains its “R” value even when it is wet and is resistant to mildew and mold. It is dimensionally stable and does not age and perish. HCFCs and CFCs are not given off by the EPS insulation, thus fulfilling the need of those homeowners concerned about the quality of indoor air.

The INSUL-WALL system can be effectively used in farms, mountains, hard-to-access islands and lakes-side properties. Homebuilders are provided with the choice of 21 shell-framing packages of a standard design, or they can order custom configurations, or order for panels needed for specific projects. Complete product documentation and ordering guidance are provided by INSUL-WALL.
