Echo Pacific Completes Vista Del Mar Elementary School Construction

Echo Pacific Construction along with the San Ysidro School District completed Vista Del Mar Elementary just in time for the new school year; 850 kindergarteners through sixth graders will be afforded the opportunity of an innovative learning environment. The state of the art facility was finished on schedule after being delayed 3 months for environmental matters.

The Vista Del Mar Elementary complex includes a two-story classroom complex, three-single story kindergarten classrooms, and a mixed-use building complex housing the administrative offices, a student library, and a covered lunch shelter. The mixed-use complex also includes a performance stage, multi-purpose spaces, and maintenance/operations facility. The exterior consists of three playground structures, a synthetic turn field, and extensive hard sports courts.

“HMC Architects wants to thank Echo Pacific for the outstanding partnership on the Vista Del Mar school project for the San Ysidro School District,” said Steven Prince, Managing Principal of HMC Architects. “It was truly a commitment to a partnership with the design team to produce superior outcome with an unheard of timeline that our mutual client was seeking for this project. The entire building team from the firm’s leadership to the oversight in the field was committed to a lean delivery process without sacrificing quality and design intent. I personally want to thank you for the wonderful partnership and commitment to producing a high quality facility for the community.”

“The completion of the Vista Del Mar School is a tribute to the team work of the Echo Pacific professionals and partners like HMC Architects and an outstanding group of sub-contractors,” said Chris Rowe, owner and President of Echo Pacific. “We are especially grateful to the board members of the San Ysidro School District, Superintendent Manuel Paul and his management team for their assistance in making the construction process smooth and working cooperatively with the construction team in resolving any roadblocks we encountered along the way.”
