Journal of the Deep Foundations Institute to be Published by Maney

Maney Publishing has partnered with the Deep Foundations Institute to publish DFI Journal - The Journal of the Deep Foundations Institute from 2014. The DFI Journal publishes papers related to the broad area of deep foundations engineering and construction. Published biannually, the journal is an information resource for the design and construction of foundations and excavations.

Established in 2006, the DFI Journal focuses on topics that are of interest to the geo-professional and academic community. This includes all systems designed and constructed for the support of heavy structures and excavations, including but not limited to different piling systems, drilled shafts, ground improvement geosystems, soil nailing and anchors. Papers on new and emerging topics related to innovative construction technologies, marine foundations, retaining systems, cut-off wall systems, and seismic retrofit are encouraged. Case histories, state of the practice reviews, and papers on innovative applications are also welcomed.

Mark Simon, Publishing Director, is very pleased with the new partnership: “The opportunity to work with the Deep Foundations Institute is a special one for Maney. Their journal’s peer-reviewed content provides an important bridge between research related to geotechnical design and construction issues, and their application by industry. This content complements our growing journals list in geotechnical engineering, and we look forward to providing access to the journal to DFI members, and other international readers and researchers, via our new Maney Online electronic hosting platform. Greater access and improved capacity to do more with journal material will, we hope, support geotechnical engineering research groups and organisations worldwide.”

“Deep Foundations Institute is excited to be partnering with Maney for the publishing and dissemination of our peer-reviewed journal,” says Theresa Rappaport, Executive Director of DFI. “We are looking forward to having the DFI Journal introduced to a broader audience so that we can gain exposure for high-quality practice-oriented papers related to deep foundations engineering.”
