ECOB's Pacific Northwest Facility Loads Railcars of Protected Lumber for Multi-Family Housing Projects

Eco Building Products, Inc., announced today that the Company's manufacturing facilities in Salem, OR and in Colton, CA have opened the new year fulfilling large coating orders for Shelter Products Inc. located in Portland, Oregon.

Eco's facility in the Pacific Northwest has loaded railcars of protected lumber for multi-family housing projects in Denver, Colorado. More recently, a residential builder from Omaha, Nebraska believes that building his first spec home of the year with this value-added lumber is worth the cost of the increased freight as evidenced by his purchase of Eco Red Shield lumber, including the roof and floor trusses and truckloads which started rolling his way last week. Also of importance, ECOB's Colton, CA facility has been busy producing coated lumber for a manufacturer of finished goods, which have been heading into Mexico for the last few months. In short, the first month of the year has started out fairly busy in the West while the East is still frozen with expectations of a huge spring run in and around the Sandy Rebuild due to our recent 104 store expansion with our big box retailer, supported by ECOB's New Jersey facility. This increase in production for the Company supports the theory that a paradigm shift away from unprotected lumber products is now underway.

After several years of leading the charge on getting Eco Red Shield protected lumber vertical in strategic markets, the Company is beginning to see the paradigm shift that ECOB CEO Steve Conboy has been referring to, and on jobs generated outside of ECOB's common core business base. With the increased demand for our protected lumber, Company Affiliates are finding their production schedules backed up fulfilling purchase orders supportive of upcoming large projects. Fueling the Company's Affiliate business plan, a high-margin revenue producer, potential new ECOB Affiliates are now in due diligence jockeying for position in their regional markets to prepare for the upcoming spring run founded on the Company's advanced coating technology.

"It has always been part of our national rollout plan to create demand and raise up an army of ECOB Affiliates to ensure that Builders like Mike Gitt in Omaha, NE have access to this advanced framing lumber in the future without having to haul it across the country. Our first customer in the East was Greg and Patty, and they bought all of their lumber for a 12,000 sq. ft. house in CT. Today they can buy it locally from multiple vendors in the northeast for their next house," stated Steve Conboy, President/CEO, Eco Building Products, Inc.
