MityLite today announced that it is among the companies recognized this year by Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership (ML) Council for shaping the future of global manufacturing. The ML Awards’ panel of judges recognized MityLite for Supply Chain Leadership, one of the Council’s most competitive categories.
MityLite’s submission, “Enabling Manufacturing Re-shoring Through High-impact Supply Chain Practices in Supply Chain Leadership,” demonstrated a progressive approach to supply chain improvement and integration via a manufacturing transformation that supported aggressive growth and domestic re-shoring.
“As a persistent and determined organization, MityLite completed a supply chain transformation yielding remarkable results that are keeping and bringing new jobs to the U.S.,” said MityLite President and CEO John Dudash. “This award recognizes the contributions of our dedicated employees and the direct impact of their efforts on MityLite’s success and longevity.”
Despite a devastating decline in the domestic furniture industry, MityLite underwent a supply chain transformation supporting operational improvement. As a result, MityLite realized industry-best results in reduced lead times; dramatically lowered operating costs; successfully re-shored Asian-sourced products, and added domestic jobs while improving the lives of its employees and sharing successes with its domestic and international supply chain.
Now in their tenth year, the Manufacturing Leadership Awards honor companies that are successful at implementing and sustaining important change programs. The Supply Chain Leadership award is one of nine ML Award categories evaluated and scored by a panel of expert judges that recognizes outstanding projects undertaken and completed by a manufacturing company. MityLite joins an elite group of companies recognized this year, including: Lenovo, Parker Hannifin, the Dow Chemical Company, GE, Lexmark, Cummins, and Boston Scientific Corp.
