The new SMART SideKick powered roller, from Wagner SprayTech, enables continuous painting by eliminating the roller tray by feeding paint to the roller directly from the paint container. SideKick dramatically reduces the time to finish big painting projects like tall entryways, large family rooms, and great rooms.

Introduced in time for Spring and Summer home improvement projects, the SideKick is the latest in a growing line of SMART powered rollers from Wagner, a market leader in advanced paint applicators.
"Homeowners are looking to complete their painting projects faster," said Eric Julstrom, Wagner product manager. "So, we designed the Sidekick powered roller to help them paint large or multi-room projects fast and reclaim time they would have spent finishing the job with traditional rollers and brushes. In tests comparing the SideKick with a manual roller on similar projects, it was two times faster."
To save time, the SideKick effectively eliminates the tray and the need to continually replenish paint by rolling the roller in the tray. Instead, SideKick's direct feed system, powered by a 120-volt motor and peristaltic pump, pumps paint directly into the roller on-demand. Its "Click-Attach Arm" attaches easily to paint containers from 1 to 5 gallons in size so the SideKick can move with users throughout the project. Managing paint flow to the roller – to achieve fast, even coverage and keep drips to a minimum – is simple with the SideKick's built-in push-button Auto Feed Control.
And reaching ceilings and high walls is no problem with the simple attachment of a threaded extension pole to the SideKick's handle. Both oil and latex-based coatings can be used with the roller. Cleanup is easy, requiring only about 10 minutes and warm, soapy water.
Priced at $99.00, Wagner's SMART SideKick roller will be available at home improvement stores and on their websites in March.
