ISSA Awards CIMS and CIMS-Green Building Recertification to DTZ

DTZ, a global leader in property services, recently received a high-profile industry accolade as ISSA, the leading trade association for the cleaning industry worldwide, announced that DTZ had once again achieved CIMS (Clean Industry Management Standard) and CIMS-Green Building certification.

"Not only does this recertification show that DTZ continually strives to provide quality service, but we do so in a way that is sustainable for our clients, company and the environment," said Bill Greco, DTZ's Director of Program Development, noting that the Company has held this certification since 2009 and was one of the first facilities management providers to achieve this status. "This certification couldn't be possible without the dedication and support of our team members and valued customers who helped with the renewal process."

The CIMS certification reaffirms that DTZ is structured to deliver consistent, quality service and is committed to efficient operations and continuous improvement. CIMS offers independent assurance that DTZ's management systems and processes comply with the industry's best practices.

The CIMS-GB certification demonstrates that DTZ delivers environmentally preferable services designed to meet customer needs and expectations. By implementing the CIMS-GB principles into its operations, DTZ has established its capability to provide green cleaning services and help customers achieve points under the LEED-Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance standards.

To achieve certification, DTZ underwent a comprehensive assessment and satisfactorily demonstrated compliance with the required percentage of CIMS elements. Specifically, DTZ met 100 percent of the mandatory elements and exceeded the minimum requirement of 60 percent of the recommended elements, per section, to be recertified.

The CIMS assessment was performed by an ISSA-accredited third party assessor, who reviewed written documentation supporting compliance with the requirements described in CIMS' five core sections and conducted a comprehensive on-site review of DTZ's systems, processes and documentation to ensure compliance. The assessor also visited individual DTZ client locations to ensure that DTZ's activities were consistent with documented systems and processes.
