In this exhibition, DUCKSHIN HOUSING (www.duckshin.com) unveils the world’s first construction site robot ‘ECO BOT’ and the deck plate using the hollow member ‘BEAN DECK.’
ECO BOT, developed jointly by DUCKSHIN HOUSING and Korea Institute of Robot and Convergence, is the robot which disassembles and collects the bolt automatically when removing the lower steel plate of removable deck plate. DUCKSHIN HOUSING expects that ECO BOT will largely contribute to improving the construction quality and productivity of removable deck plate.
ECO BOT analyzes the pattern of lower steel plate of deck plate and moves to the position to disassemble the bolt, and if an obstacle is found, it changes the running path by itself. In addition, with the application of Omni-wheel technology that enables to move all directions, it can move to the side at a right angle without changing the direction.
BEAN DECK is the product that assembles the hollow member to the existing integrated deck plate, using the Flat Slab technique without installation of beam, which results in more economical construction of slab.
When the Flat Slab technique is used, it brings the elevation reduction effect of about 30cm. The hollow members allow to reduce the noise between floors and to improve the vibration grade.
DUCKSHIN HOUSING, when using BEAN DECK, expects the cost reduction due to a reduction of concrete displacement quantity and reinforced materials as well as the remarkable effect in shortening the construction period as it is not necessary to install a beam.
