Super Green School Building

The exclusive Peddie School in New Jersey is constructing a new science building that will not only feature state of the art educational facilities but the building itself will be at the forefront of environmental science. It will also look spectacular with a giant glass and zinc fin soaring above the building.

The fin is central to the control of the climate within the building. The wall of glass faces south catching winter sunlight and therefore saving on winter heating and lighting costs. In warm weather, windows in the structure will open and allow hot air to escape and draw cool air from special areas excavated below ground level.

Other additions being considered for the building include solar panels on the building's roof.
