From Recycled Newsprint To High Value Thermal Insulation

Natural Building Technologies (NBT) has just introduced a new loose fill cellulose fibre insulation made from recycled newsprint. With a thermal conductivity rating of .040Wm/K, Warmcel100 improves upon the cellulose insulation previously held by NBT and has over 12% greater thermal performance than traditional insulation.

Other benefits are that the insulation is environmentally friendly, non-itchy and non-toxic. It is also treated against fire, is highly durable and helps to control moisture levels – particularly useful in older buildings. Warmcel 100 is supplied in 8 Kg bags (enough to cover 2.2m² at 100 mm thick). It is ready to use, quick to install and, as loose fill, always fits properly. It can also be used as ‘top-up’ insulation to cover gaps in existing batt or blanket insulation.
