Royal Arsenal in Woolwich Building Updated with Steel Windows

A member of The Steel Window Association has supplied steel windows for Building 48 of the historic Royal Arsenal in Woolwich.

In recent years the site has been revitalised with Berkeley Homes’ development of over 1,000 residential properties. The re-development has been devised in sympathy with the past history of the site and combined with modern contemporary living. The historical significance of Royal Arsenal buildings meant the London Borough of Greenwich Planning Department Conservation Officer had final approval of the window pattern and configuration used in the 120 purpose-made W20 windows supplied and fitted by Clements.

The windows are finished in a white semi-gloss with 14mm double glazed units. They provide all the benefits of a modern double glazed unit whilst also maintaining the traditional appearance of the listed architecture.
