Solar Electricity System Installed At White House

The installation of a 9kV solar electricity system marks the first solar electric installation on White House grounds in its history.

The photovoltaic system will be for the benefit of the National Park Service and underlines their commitment to renewable energy sources and lowering energy consumption.

The system consists of 167 solar panels with a data acquisition system for monitoring performance. It feeds directly into White House grounds electricity system providing electricity wherever it is required.
