Tarkett to Acquire Marley Floors

Tarkett AG signed today an agreement to acquire the business of Marley Floors from ETEX Group SA, Belgium.

The Tarkett Group is active worldwide in the production and distribution of floorings (mainly vinyl floorings, parquet and laminate). Tarkett produces floorings for the use in private homes (Residential) and for commercial use (Commercial). In 2003, the turnover of the Tarkett Group amounted to 1.394 billion Euro. Marley Floors with headquarters in the UK produces and markets vinyl floor coverings, particular for the commercial sector used especially in the healthcare, retail and education sectors. In 2003, Marley Floors achieved a turnover of 62.3 Mio Euro.

With the acquisition of Marley Floors, Tarkett AG will be in the position to add the high-quality products of Marley Floors to its own premium product range in the commercial segment. At the same time, Tarkett AG will be able to continue its growth strategy, thus strengthening its presence in the growing British market for the commercial business.
