Complimentary Webinar for Contracting Firms

Scheduled for 10 a.m. PST on Wednesday, November 18

Dexter + Chaney and FMI Corporation will offer a complimentary executive management webinar, “Making Difficult People Decisions in Tough Times: Preparing for the Future Today,” on Wednesday, November 18, at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. The 40-minute webinar is designed for presidents, vice presidents, operations managers and other managers of subcontracting firms, specialty contractors, road-building contractors and general contractors. A 10-minute question-and-answer period will follow.

The event is the second in a series of complimentary, interactive webinars offered by Dexter + Chaney, developer of Spectrum® Construction Software, and FMI Corporation, the premier management-consulting firm serving the worldwide construction industry. The companies have designed the webinars to help executives tackle real-world problems that plague construction companies every day. Each event includes a checklist of points to be considered and suggested “best practices” to implement the strategy addressed at the webinar.

The November 18 webinar will examine the difficult people-related decisions that arise during uncertain and challenging economic times like these. It will help participants understand how to approach personnel decisions in the proper manner, thus minimizing negative impacts on the organization. Participants will learn to identify the disastrous missteps that leaders often make when deciding which employees will stay with the organization and those who will be let go.

They’ll also examine how organizations can take advantage of the current economy to trim down and position themselves for future success. FMI senior consultants Jake Appelman and Tim Tokarczyk will facilitate the webinar.
