The award ceremony will take place on April 14, 2010, at the 2010 National Congress and Expo for Manufactured and Modular Housing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. "We're pleased to present these awards to Haven Homes. Haven's home designs and architect partnerships are quite impressive and unique to the modular industry. We're extremely proud to have Haven Homes as a member of our organization and wish them continued success," said Thayer Long, NMHC executive director.

The Jane, currently part of Cottage Series by New Hampshire Design Collaborative, is a Queen Anne Victorian style cottage with 1,203 square feet and features two bedrooms including a first floor master suite, two full bathrooms, a fireplace and porch. "The Jane, along with all of our home designs, is designed around how people and their families actually live," said Amy Ostberg, the Principal and CEO of New Hampshire Design Collaborative. "Our partnership with Haven Homes is invaluable. Working with Haven, especially their full service design department, has allowed us to maintain the integrity of our designs with extraordinary attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship. The collaboration between our companies affords us the opportunity to offer clients a timeless, healthy green home with classic architecture and livable floor plans in a fraction of the time." This is the second NMHC award for the collaboration between New Hampshire Design Collaborative and Haven Custom Homes. Last year the two companies were honored with the 2009 Modular Multifamily Award for their townhome design "The Alcott."

"We are honored to accept this award with New Hampshire Design Collaborative. Their home designs are extraordinary and demonstrate their dedication to architectural integrity and quality design," said Jerry Smalley, CEO and president of Haven Custom Homes. "Haven is privileged to work in partnership with some of the most respected and recognized architectural firms including New Hampshire Design Collaborative. We strive to expand our partnerships and home design offerings so as to provide our customers easy access to superior architectural quality." In addition to traditional residential projects, Haven Homes delivers turn-key solutions for multi-family and commercial products under the company's division, the "Haven Commercial Group." Multi-family and commercial projects include apartments and townhomes, schools, dormitories, lodging, senior living, specialized resort accommodations and multi-level residential, retail and office developments.

In 2008, AMC Delancey Group partnered with the Haven Commercial Group to utilize the company's innovative, sustainable building technologies including state-of-the-art modular construction methods for a multi-family townhome project "333 Green" in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Building in Haven's production facility allowed for minimal waste, protection of building materials and easy integration of green design features. Haven's unique process, known as "The Haven Method" allowed for the units to be completed and delivered to the community nearly 70 percent complete.

The finished product resulted in a contemporary development with seven units offering the best in city living with unique exterior facades incorporating glass, metal, brick and wood, floor-to-ceiling windows, private garages and large rooftop decks that provide amazing views of Center City Philadelphia. Environmentally smart design features include super insulated ceilings and walls, dual wall and floor systems, virtually airtight construction, high-efficiency heating and air conditioning systems, Energy Star appliances, and an outlet in every garage for an electric car.

"When developing urban infill projects like 333 Green, it's important to minimize disruption to the surrounding community while creating homes that are healthy and sustainable for the neighborhood," said Jerry Smalley, CEO and president of Haven Homes. "Our modular method allows developers like AMC Delancey Group to build custom quality crafted homes in half the time it would take with traditional on site construction."

Since completion, the townhomes have received continued recognition and success including the 2008 Townhome of the Year Award by the Building Industry Association of Philadelphia and most recently the "New Modular Multifamily or Duplex Design Award" in the Production category by NMHC.
