PGN Awards EPC Contract to Fluor Consortium for Natural Gas Field Development Project

Fluor Corporation’s Brazil unit was part of a consortium awarded a contract by Parnaíba Gás Natural (PGN) for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a natural gas field development project in the state of Maranhão, Brazil. The Brazil-based consortium includes Fluor, Construcap CCPS Engenharia e Comércio and CFPS Engenharia e Projetos S.A. (CFPS). Fluor will book its portion of the $100 million contract value in the second quarter of 2015.

Fraunhofer scientists and partners have developed a wood-polymer composite material for furniture that is resistant to humidity and has low flammability.

GreenTec 2015 Award Honors SEMIZENTRAL Project to Improve Quality of Life in Megacities

SEMIZENTRAL, an international research project that is anchored at the TU Darmstadt, has received one of the GreenTec 2015 awards. Dr. Susanne Bieker’s team (at the Chair headed by Prof. Peter Cornel) was awarded the prize in the category “Urbanization” because it has made an impressive contribution to improving the quality of life in megacities. This award, which is not financially endowed and can be presented in 14 categories, is one of the most highly regarded environmental and business prizes in Europe.

Peab has been contracted to build 121 apartments, kindergarten and gym in the neighborhood Vårsången in Lindängen, Malmo. It is the first new construction project in the area in over 30 years. The client is Fastighets AB Trianon and the contract amounts to approximately SEK 193 million.
