Case Design's Project Designer Chosen to Participate in DC Design House Program

Case Design/Remodeling, Inc., a leading D.C. Metro area home improvement company, today announced that project designer, Allie Mann, has been selected as one of 22 local designers to participate in the 2011 DC Design House program.

Created in 2008 by DC Design House, Inc., a nonprofit organization, the DC Design House showcases the latest trends in residential home design. Each room in the exhibit will be designed by the area’s top home designers, and all proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Children’s National Medical Center.

Beginning Feb. 28, Mann will have just one month to design, decorate and furnish the master bathroom of the DC Design House, located at 3134 Ellicott St., N.W., in Washington, D.C. A Certified Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeler (CKBR) by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), Mann has more than seven years of experience in home design. In April 2010, she became project designer at Case, where she currently specializes in designing kitchens and bathrooms. Mann is also a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), serves as Directory Chair for the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) Metro DC Chapter, and teaches kitchen and bath design at Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling, Va.

Bruce Case, president of Case Design/Remodeling, said, “Case congratulates Allie on her selection to be a part of this great event to support the Children’s National Medical Center. Allie is a very skilled designer with a passion for working closely with her clients to bring them the kitchens and baths of their dreams. We look forward to seeing her final work in the Design House.”

“I am honored to participate in this year’s DC Design House program, alongside some of the area’s top designers, to benefit a worthy cause,” Mann said. “For the master bathroom, I plan to incorporate some of the most popular trends in bathroom design that will hopefully serve as inspiration for visitors to use in their own homes.”

All rooms in the DC Design House must be completed by Thursday, March 31. Members of the media are invited to attend a press review lunch on Friday, April 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Design House will be open to the public from Saturday, April 9 through May 8.
