Integrity Windows and Doors is proud to honor five businesses whose impressive construction projects have made them winners in the 2013 Integrity Red Diamond Achiever Award Program. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding design, innovation, sustainability and quality in projects by the nation’s premier builders, remodelers and architects using Integrity products.
“Red Diamond Achiever Award winners represent the absolute best in the building professions,” said Becky Felling, director of marketing for Integrity Windows and Doors. “These projects aren’t just amazingly beautiful. They harness the incredible strength and durability of Integrity’s Ultrex. We’re happy to shine the spotlight on builders, remodelers and architects who reflect our values, operate responsibly, innovate constantly and deliver superior quality no matter the project.”

The Red Diamond Achiever Award Program is judged by a panel of industry experts with diverse backgrounds: Bob Vila, home improvement expert and TV star; Patrick O’Toole, editorial director for Professional Builder, Professional Remodeler and HousingZone.com; JoAnne Liebeler, producer and host of several home improvement TV shows; Shawn McCadden, an award-winning remodeler, consultant, speaker and columnist; and Christine Marvin, director of marketing for Marvin Windows and Doors.
This year’s Integrity Red Diamond Achiever Award Program includes a new element, as well: the People’s Choice Award, which lets the public vote at integritywindows.com to determine which of the five winners is ultimately the top project.
Integrity will provide each Red Diamond Achiever Award winner and a guest with an all-expense paid VIP trip to Minneapolis and Warroad, Minn., for events including an award presentation; participation in a roundtable discussion with other Red Diamond Achiever Award winners and industry thought-leaders; a private tour of the Marvin Windows and Doors factory; dinner with Susan Marvin, president of Marvin Windows and Doors; and more.
Additionally, each winner will have photos and project information featured on Integrity’s website and social media channels. Winners also will receive a commemorative award, a cash donation in their name to a charity of their choice, and a variety of marketing materials to help publicize their business and this award.

DETAILS OF WINNING PROJECTS
Andrews Residence, Rehoboth Beach, Del. Winning entry by Burton Builders.
This 1928 Clinker Brick Tudor style cottage sits just three blocks from the Atlantic Ocean. The owner of the home wanted to update the home while matching the charm that had existed for over 85 years. In order to match the architectural style and meet the performance requirements of a coastal environment, Integrity windows and doors were chosen for the project. Several openings were fitted with Integrity IZ3 IMPACT products, a hurricane-rated window that can withstand winds up to 140 mph. The Integrity product offerings allowed for brand new casement windows with a divided lite design that replicated the 85-year-old wood windows. The home also now features a two-story glass wall that overlooks the outdoor living space, providing a seamless transition between home and nature.
Arnold Project, Montreat, N.C. Winning entry by Deltec Homes.
Ordinary windows wouldn’t do for this home, a stunning mountain retreat featuring panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Integrity Wood-Ultrex windows chosen for this project feature an Ultrex fiberglass exterior that stands up to the harshest mountain weather. Integrity products helped the home achieve N.C. Healthy Built Home designation while still maximizing natural light and breathtaking views.
Beachaus I, White Rock, B.C. Winning entry by InHaus Development Ltd.
The clean, modern lines of this LEED Platinum-certified home are perfectly complemented by a variety of Integrity All-Ultrex windows. Eight times stronger than vinyl, Integrity’s Ultrex fiberglass is the perfect blend of beauty and durability. The design goal of this highly contemporary home was to leave a small footprint, and to be lit 100 percent by natural daylight.
12’ ceilings with wall-to-wall glass give the illusion of additional space, but made it a challenge when it came to solar heat gain. Integrity’s combination of glazing options and Ultrex pultruded fiberglass helped the home meet the rigorous requirements of LEED Platinum status.
Brendle Group headquarters, Fort Collins, Colo. Winning entry by Greg D. Fisher, Architect.
The Brendle Group’s business is advising companies on sustainable development, so it speaks volumes that the Brendle Group selected Integrity windows for its newly remodeled, LEED Gold-certified headquarters. The Ultrex fiberglass in Integrity windows is made from sand, a renewable resource, and Integrity’s longer lifespan compared to competing window products means fewer resources are used and landfilled. The original building was a 25-year-old, classic post-modern structure that was completely reworked with all new windows from Integrity that paired nicely with the new modern character.
Wychmere Beach Club Pavilion, Harwich Port, Mass. Winning entry by Gakidis & Stewart.
This upscale Cape Cod beach club chose Integrity windows for its pavilion, the centerpiece of the pool complex. Integrity windows, made of Ultrex fiberglass, provided the clean lines and best-in-class durability needed to make this project both beautiful and long-lasting. Harsh winds, storms, salt water, and the sand of this coastal location were of utmost concern when deciding which windows would be used. Integrity IZ3 IMPACT windows were chosen, a hurricane-rated product that can withstand winds up to 140 mph. Integrity’s Ultrex fiberglass construction also provides superior resistance to the corrosive effects of the coastal climate. The other goal of the project was to create an open and social space, which the windows helped create with rich wood interiors and divided lites that add both charm and character.
