New Panels Eliminate Secondary Steelwork

Kingspan Insulated Panels has added LongSpanTM to its range of insulated panels. Designed to increase build speed and quality while reducing life cycle costs, the new panels can span up to 8.2m in width without the need for secondary steelwork.

The LongSpan KS1000LS system has also passed its Firesafe credentials with notable test successes including the Loss Prevention Certification Board’s (LPCB’s) demanding LPS1181 fire test criteria.

The core thickness of the panels ranges from 80mm to 140mm in 20mm increments. Standard lengths are from 1.8m to 8.2m although options for up to 16m are available.

Four distinct profiles are also available; MR (micro-rib), EB (Eurobox), MM (mini micro) and WV (wave). These profiles offer designers a range of options to optimise the appearance of their buildings. The panels are also are immune to mould, fungi, mildew and vermin and comply with all relevant Building Regulations.
